Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee is urging fans to adopt pets as opposed to purchasing them at pet stores, which get their canines from puppy mills. Those mills are facilities that provide substandard care for the breeding animals.
Lee and his lady love Sofia are proud parents to new pup Bowie, named after rock legend David Bowie because of his “crazy gray-green eyes.” The two hit local shelters in hot pursuit of a man’s best friend. “We went to a couple of different shelters and we ended up over at East Valley in Van Nuys and there he was, just sitting there with three other dogs,” Lee told Rolling Stone about finding his dog.
